Car Insurance Daewoo (Car Insurance). I need to paint my motorcycle tank?I need to paint my motorcycle tank? I would like to paint it flat black. Is there a flat black that is fuel resistant/proof in a spray can You need polyurethane paint. I don't believe it comes in cans. You could get away with acrylic, but won't last long. Take it to a paint shop. It should not cost that much, Unless of course you are aiming for the "Ratbike" look. flat paints are going to absorb anything that gets on them. There is nothing in a spray can that will last for long. just the tank wont take much paint.go to your local auto paint store and talk to them, they well help in what you wont to do. You will need a 2 part epoxy paint to be fuel resistant. Do the prep work and use a good rattle can flat black lacquer or enamel. I recommend the lacquer but you can spray lacquer over enamel, you just cant spray enamel over lacquer. You will then need to put an epoxy clearcoat over that, it only comes in lacquer. Eastwood has a 2 part clear in a rattle can that is excellent. It's called MAX 2K and is available on their website @ 19.95 plus shipping. I've used this product on my own Sporty as well as a few others I threw a little skin on. It's very good and easy to use. Auto parts : Bolt Cap Acura 1995 . Bumper Clip Alfa Romeo 1996 . Daewoo . How to Fix Torn Leather on a Car SeatLeather seats add quite a bit of value to your vehicle. Leather costs more than standard fabric upholstery in most cars, but needs to be maintained to keep its beauty. Spraying a leather oil moisturizer on your leather car seats every year will help keep the seats looking new. If your leather seats get too dry, they will crack, but fixing a tear in leather isn't very difficult. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Leather repair kit Scissors Step by Step : 1 Open the leather repair kit. Use the sandpaper to buff the area around the tear in your leather car seat. 2 Rub the tear and the area around it with the alcohol wipe to clean the area for good adhesion. 3 Cut the patch to size---make it just big enough to cover the tear in the leather. Pull the back off the patch and stick it over the tear. 4 Mix the leather compound with the dye of choice from the leather repair kit. Mix in dye until the compound is the same color as your leather seat. Spread a thin coat of the compound over the patch and the area around the patch with the small wooden stick provided. Apply enough compound to just cover the patch. 5 Allow the area to dry for four to six hours.
Daewoo . How to Change Auto Seat ColorsThough you probably wouldn't dream of it in a new car, you may want to renovate an older car by changing a few things, like maybe a fresh paint job, new tires, or even a new interior. One of the most baffling things to do may be changing the color of your seats to match your new interior or new color, and many may resort to just swapping them out. However, with a little bit of paint and some ingenuity, you can change the colors in a matter of a few hours. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Auto fabric paint in cans, 2 per seat, color of your choice Latex gloves Painter's tape Plastic trash bags Lint brush Step by Step : 1 Clean the seat thoroughly with the lint brush, making sure to get out all loose particles, including dirt and debris. 2 Block off anything you don't want to get paint on using the plastic trash bags and the painter's tape. Essentially, you're using the bags to shield the things you don't want to paint (like consoles, seat belts, side paneling, etc.) and securing them in place with the tape. 3 Put on the latex gloves. 4 Shake the paint can vigorously for about 60 seconds, then pop off the top if necessary. 5 Hold the can about six inches from the surface of the car seat and spray in light coats until the seat is completely covered. 6 Wipe the paint with your gloved hands, smoothing it out over the fabric until the surface is nice and even. 7 Let the paint dry for at least a few hours while keeping all of the doors open, allowing fumes to escape and not build up in your car. 8 Remove the trash bags and painter's tape and dispose of the paint properly. Wait at least 48 hours before sitting in the seats to make sure it has dried and cured completely. Tips & Warnings Wear a safety mask and some goggles to make sure you don't breathe in any fumes or get paint in your eyes. If don't want to paint your seats, you can simply purchase seat covers which slip over them and come in an assortment of colors, but these are rarely very aesthetically pleasing and often look loose, as they are often manufactured generically. Make sure the paint is specifically designed for auto fabrics. Dupli-Color produces a very good variety of auto fabric paint that can be purchased at most auto parts stores. It is imperative that the paint is completely dried and cured before you use the car or sit in the seats. This will prevent any paint from getting on your clothes and creating a mess of your seat. When you turn your key in the ignition switch to "Start," the action closes a circuit that lets electrical current flow from your car's battery to its starter. On the way, the current passes through a little device called the starter solenoid, which becomes important only if it malfunctions.
